The name La Pelegrina, appears to have been used to refer to at least two different natural pearls of different shapes, sizes, origin and history. One pearl believed to be of South American origin with a history of over 350 years, having passed through royal and aristocratic families of Spain, France, possibly India, and finally Russia, is a pear-shaped pearl with a weight of 133.16 grains.
